One of the Centre’s major goals is to create an offline and online repository of books in Ukrainian and other languages, collecting works that can help us preserve knowledge and information about our culture, nature, history, and architecture and making them accessible to anyone who needs them.
Members of our team have always loved books. For centuries, books have been a reliable source of information. Everyone uses them for research, since alternative sources of information have only recently become available.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we have seen countless books destroyed in all occupied cities and towns. To replace them, the invaders have brought their own books full of mistruths, distortions, lies, and fundamental concepts turned on their head.
In light of this, we believe our project Supii: Library can play an important part in preserving books in Ukrainian for posterity. Those who come after us can learn who we were from the photos and texts in these books.
Anyone can help us with our library project. Our Patreon has a Library tier. Every month, we use the donations from this tier to buy new or used books.
During the work of the Center, we managed to create two books. Electronic versions of these books are available for download below.
